Reviews of St. Paul R40 Live Shows
The reviews keep coming. These are about Rush’s show in St. Paul at the Xcel Energy Center:
From the Minneapolis StarTribune:
“Tuesday’s concert was ultimately a Rush show even non-diehards could appreciate. The sheer velocity and virtuosity were impressive, as was the obvious deep-mining of the catalog. Perhaps no other band can go that far into its discography that effectively. And neither Peart nor his bandmates showed any signs of slipping or slowing down.”
From TwinCities.com:
“The band structured the three-hour show in reverse chronological order, but what made the evening all the more special was Rush’s decision to replicate not just the sound of their past, but the look of the stage as roadies changed out amps and various props to roughly match what the band’s live show looked like at the time.”
