And the men who hold high places Must be the ones to start To mold a new reality Closer to the heart The AV Club reveals the next live clip from R40 Live with “Closer to the Heart” before release on November 20. “The concert film also includes what Lee refers to as a “pretty little number” off of the band’s A Farewell To Kings album, “Closer To The Heart.” This popular tune spurred fans to raise lighters and phones as Lifeson unplugs, plucking the opening strings on his acoustic guitar, with Lee singing the familiar lyrics before Peart makes it whole by adding his precise percussion.”

It hasn’t been played live in over 34 years, since the Permanent Waves tour in 1980. But as you know, it was featured in the setlist for the R40 tour.
